This set included 3 boxes of Montes Taita from 3 vintages 2015 / 2017 / 2018. Taita immediately confirms that the tasting will be a challenge. Visually the wine is a carmine-red colour, deep and dense, with long, slow tears. The nose begins by showing the effect of two years in barrel and the wine’s time in bottle. A diverse pool of aromas includes ripe red and black fruit, such as plum, strawberry, cherry, and raspberry, as well as aromas derived from the toasted French oak such as tobacco, nutmeg, hints of vanilla, and an interesting candied note from the combination with the initial fruit. On the palate, Taita repeats all of the same sensations mentioned, with incredible balance and body, together with smooth tannins and vibrant acidity, where the avours enhance the aromatic sensations and are long lasting on the palate
